Do you just do portraits in the studio?

No, if you’d like to choose a suitable location or prefer to have the photographs done at home then that’s no problem to me.  There is an extra £10 charge to cover mileage and you need to be within a 10-mile radius of Malton.

What if my children misbehave and carry on during the shoot?

I expect most children to do this!  Please don’t worry about it.  I have 2 children of my own who regularly misbehave when in a different place.  It is natural to want to shout and make promises to children to make them behave, but I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve to make them laugh and get their attention.  As a parent, I know it’s hard to step away but when parents are angry and children are upset it is more difficult to take good pictures.

Do you fix things like acne or scratches?

Yes most certainly.  What I won’t do is take out braces, bra straps or logos.  I’m also not responsible for your colour choices.

What do we wear for our photoshoot?

During your pre consultation call we’ll talk about what colours you like including the backdrop colour and style.  All I ask is that you don’t wear any bold patterns or logos.

Why can’t I see all the images from the shoot?

I always take out blinks and odd facial expressions.  I take a huge amount of photos and so I’m only going to give you the very best ones.

Can you just take photographs of the children?  I don’t like being in photographs.

Of course I can but think carefully about this.  Your children see you and love you as you are.  They want to be able to look back at these photographs and remember how wonderful their parents are.

I want to buy everything!  Is there any chance I could pay in instalments?

Yes I can divide your invoice into smaller instalments.  However, the product cannot be collected until payment has been made in full.

How long are the images available to view after the session?

Your password protected online gallery will be available for 2 weeks after you have received confirmation that the photographs are ready to view.  I will email or Facebook message a link and password to the email address you provide at booking.  Your gallery will be hosted for 2 weeks only.

What happens if I book a session and then a member of my family is ill?

I’m happy to reschedule your session.  Please give me 24 hours notice before the shoot.  If your child has a cold, teething or has a temperature I would prefer to reschedule the session.  If your child is feeling under the weather they certainly won’t enjoy having photographs taken.
